I am an acting tutor based in South East London, specialising in LAMDA examinations. I have been tutoring since 2019 and all of my LAMDA students have achieved merits and distinctions in their exams.
As well as teaching you the core tenets of acting, LAMDA exams are a great tool for improving confidence and developing skills in presentation, communication, and independent learning and research. They also count towards UCAS points.
I have a relaxed and friendly style of teaching without compromising on the rigorous training needed to do well in acting. My lessons are tailored to each of my student’s unique interests and working styles. I particularly enjoy finding just the right monologues to excite and inspire my pupils.
In my acting lessons, students will learn:
To have fun and play with the text, in order to develop their own unique character interpretations and build confidence in their instinctual choices.
To use voice and body language to effectively portray feeling and character.
The value of background research into author, character and historical setting in order to inform acting choices.
I have worked in children’s education since 2017: for five years as a one to one learning support assistant for children with special educational needs; privately tutoring LAMDA students; and co-running an annual Christmas children’s cabaret workshop and showcase with fellow actor and LAMDA tutor, Tanya Nyari.
I offer tuition in:LAMDA Duologue Acting (grades 1–8)
LAMDA Verse & Prose (grades 1–8)
