I have worked in children’s education since 2017: for five years as a one to one learning support assistant for children with special educational needs; privately tutoring LAMDA students; and co-running an annual Christmas children’s cabaret workshop and showcase with fellow actor and LAMDA tutor, Tanya Nyari.
My most recent venture is working in conjunction with the Reading Ancient Schoolroom, offering immersive experiences in Roman schooling, both in schools and at a regular summer camp at Butser Ancient Farm in Hampshire. I have enjoyed leading class workshops for them on Roman maths, ink-making, and tablet-writing. In 2024 I was offered the chance to run two ancient drama workshops for children at Butser Ancient Farm, for which I adapted and directed two ancient Greek and Roman plays (Aeschylus’ Agamemnon and Plautus’ Miles Gloriosus). These plays will be returning to Butser Ancient Farm in August 2025.
I graduated from the Bridge Theatre Training Company in 2015. Since then I have performed in several professional productions in both London and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as producing and performing in my own cabarets and variety shows. I have also continued to work with the Bridge, running acting and cabaret workshops for them, and joining their board of trustees in 2018.
I recently graduated with a first class degree in Classical Studies from the University of Reading, where I have enjoyed discovering many of the magnificent works by ancient Greek and Roman playwrights.
I also have plenty of experience behind the scenes, having operated both sound and lighting for several productions, including at the Cockpit Theatre in Marylebone and the Pleasance Theatre in Islington. In 2024 I turned my hand to prop-making and created 25 original Greek masks for the Oxford Ancient Languages Society’s brilliant production of Euripides’ Orestes.
